My first Harley, done with my new set of Copic markers so thoughtfully gifted to my by my wonderful girlfriend for Christmas.
Harley has always been one of my favorites, even tho I was never a total fan of the original Jester costume, I like that some elements in redesigns stay true to the old. I've loved the Arkham game series re-imagining (who hasn't really?) but honestly there was little the costume did to stay true the original Jester, the original HQ. When setting down to do this I really pondered doing something completely of my own (ideas I developed will probably get onto boards in the near future) but ultimately its hard to not like the Arkham designs. So I just did a few things to the design that were little hints at the original costume. Made the diamonds broader, the pants gave the latex-ish texture, I altered the boots slightly to give more of a 'bootie' look as the Jester costume had. In all I am very pleased with the outcome of this commission...Wonder Woman is next!
